Travis – Everything At Once

Released in April 2016, this is Travis’ first studio album since 2013’s

‘Where You Stand’. I’m not as familiar with Travis’ earlier work, so comparisons to there other albums are not possible for this review, which probably works in its favour as it was listened to with unbiased ears.

So how does it sound? As a whole, it’s a very listenable album with some very radio friendly tracks on it – in fact I have featured a number of tracks on the radio show already and will continue to for a while to come. In particular, the tracks ‘Magnificent Time’, ‘Radio Song’, ‘Animals’ and the single ‘3 Miles High’ are the stand out songs, while ‘Idlewild’, featuring vocalist Josephine Oniyama, has yet to grow on me.

If you’re a Travis fan, you’ll likely love it. If you’re not, but you’re open minded, you could do worse than give this a listen. You might be pleasantly surprised. I was.

Mostly harmless.
